Second chance school

What is a Second Chance School ?

Find out how E2C Europe’s member Second Chance Schools offer a unique opportunity to young NEETs through a personalised educational programme and dedicated Trainers/Teachers and other professionals working into SCS who support them on their journey to success.

🌟

Second chance schools (SCS) offer a valuable opportunity for young people who have left school without a diploma and are struggling to find their place in the labour market more generally, in the society. As a member of E2C Europe, these schools are committed to providing quality education to help young people with fewer opportunities and find their way in life.

Second Chance School Trainers/Teachers are experienced professionals who are involved about educating and mentoring young people in difficulty. They work closely with Youngster to provide them with the support they need to succeed. The trainers are there to help young people set realistic goals, develop job skills and improve their confidence.

Second chance schools offer a comprehensive educational programme that enables young people to develop their vocational and personal skills. Young people can choose from a variety of programmes, including vocational training, exchange with Europe and work experience. Programmes are tailored to the individual needs of each student, providing a personalised educational experience.

By joining a Second Chance School, youngsters have the opportunity to transform their lives and achieve their full potential. Second chance schools are a safe and welcoming place of learning where young people can learn, grow and connect with others who share their experiences. Young people can feel supported and encouraged throughout their educational journey.

In summary, our Second Chance Schools provide an excellent opportunity for young NEETs to get back on the path to education and employment. Dedicated Trainers/Teachers work with young people to provide them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed, offering a chance for a better life 🌟

For the past two years, E2C Europe has been working on the development of a Charter of Fundamental Principles. The purpose of this Charter is to guarantee the voluntary commitment of the members. It affirms the values and foundations of the European network of second chance schools.

This Charter is the basis of new member’s process of application. The Charter of Fundamental Principles and the new process of application were proposed and approved by the board of directors on the 14th of January 2022.

These approvals are a major moment for E2C Europe’s life.” Michel Haudry
